Aspiration Spend and Save Accounts are accessed from the Aspiration Platform website and mobile application, which is owned by Mission Financial Partners LLC.

Mission Financial Partners LLC manages the Aspiration Platform, which provides access to and helps support accounts at financial institutions, including Checking and Savings Accounts at Coastal Community Bank.

I certify that clicking "I agree to the terms and conditions" is equivalent to my written signature and by so clicking I accept, acknowledge, and / or understand the following:

I acknowledge that:

  • The Aspiration Spend & Save accounts are checking and savings accounts offered through Coastal Community Bank, Member FDIC. Approved deposit accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000 per depositor. For balances greater than $250,000, Coastal will Sweep the excess funds to one or more FDIC-insured depository institutions in their Sweep network (each a "Bank") up to $250,000 per Bank.
  • Coastal Community Bank is a state-chartered bank in the state of Washington.
  • Aspiration Fund Adviser, LLC, is a registered investment advisor.
  • Mission Financial Partners, LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Mission Financial”) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of MFP Capital Group Inc.
  • Mission Financial Partners LLC, nor the parent entity, or any affiliates, are a Bank.

I have read and agree to:

I hereby authorize Aspiration to communicate and market products and services, including providing notice of, through use of Website, Mobile App, Social Media, Email, Phone, SMS, Text Messaging, Push Notifications, and other cellular and advertising channels. I understand that text message, data rates, and other fees may apply. I further understand that I must opt out in order to stop these methods of communication and marketing.

I authorize my wireless operator (AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Verizon, or any other branded wireless operator) to disclose my mobile number, name, address, email, network status, customer type, customer role, billing type, mobile device identifiers (IMSI and IMEI) and other subscriber status and device details, if available, to a third party service provider, solely to verify my identity and prevent fraud for the duration of the business relationship. See Aspiration’s Privacy Policy and Privacy Notice for how Aspiration treats consumer data.

Under penalty of perjury, I certify that:

  • I am the owner of any external account used to fund or make payment to any Aspiration account or service.
  • I am a U.S. person (including a U.S. resident alien) as defined on IRS Form W-9. The Social Security Number or Taxpayer Identification Number shown on this application is correct.
  • I am not subject to IRS backup withholding.
  • I am not a politically exposed person.

The Internal Revenue Service does not require your consent to any provision of this above other than the certifications required to avoid backup withholding.
I UNDERSTAND THAT DUE TO THE PASSAGE OF THE USA PATRIOT ACT, I AM REQUIRED TO RECEIVE THE FOLLOWING IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT PROCEDURES FOR OPENING A NEW ACCOUNT:
To help the government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account or is added as an additional signatory to an account. The information we request may vary depending on the circumstances, but at a minimum, will include your name, address, an identification number such as your social security or taxpayer identification number, and for individuals, your date of birth. We also may be required to verify the information you provide to us. This verification process may require you to provide us with supporting documentation that we deem appropriate, such as a driver's license or other identifying documents. We may also seek to verify the information by other means. We reserve the right to request additional information and/or signatures from you from time to time. Please remember that any documents or information we gather in the verification process will be maintained in a confidential manner.

I understand that I may open an Aspiration-branded demand deposit and savings account (“Aspiration Account”) with Mission Financial Partners, LLC by going through the account selection and opening process on the Aspiration website or mobile application. Furthermore, I certify that:

  • I understand that Mission Financial Partners, LLC, is not a Bank.
  • I understand that I have the option to pay a fee to Mission Financial Partners, LLC in an amount of my choosing that I believe is fair, between $0 and $20 per month. This fee is charged monthly for the Aspiration Account.
  • I may increase or decrease the Pay What is Fair Fee at any time upon written notice to Aspiration, such notice to be provided pursuant to Schedule 3 of the Aspiration Deposit Account Agreement. If I do so, the adjusted Pay What is Fair Fee. (if any) in effect on the last business day of the month is effective retroactively from the first business day of the month and is used to calculate the Fee for the month.
  • I have received the Business Continuity Plan Disclosure Statement.
  • I have read and reviewed, and I agree to the terms and provisions of, the Aspiration Deposit Account Agreement.
  • I understand that Plant Your Change is an optional service, and if I choose to opt into this service, I have read reviewed, and agreed to the terms and provisions of the Plant Your Change Disclosure.
  • I am the owner of the account used to fund my Aspiration Account.
  • I hereby authorize Mission Financial, LLC to automatically invest the available cash in my Aspiration Account through the Insured Bank Deposit Program. The terms and conditions of the Bank Deposit Program are described in the Deposit Account Agreement (Schedule 4)
  • I understand that Mission Financial Partners, LLC, may use third parties to provide some services to me and agree to the third-party terms and conditions necessary to use these services and products.
  • I understand that my property may be transferred to the appropriate state if no activity occurs in the account within the time period specified by law. This process is governed by the escheatment laws of my state.

I UNDERSTAND AND ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE MISSION FINANCIAL PARTNERS, LLC DEPOSIT ACCOUNT AGREEMENT CONTAINS A PREDISPUTE ARBITRATION CLAUSE LOCATED IN SECTION 32 OF THE DEPOSIT ACCOUNT AGREEMENT.

The following section is specific to if I am applying for (or in the future apply for) an Aspiration Redwood Fund and Aspiration Fund Adviser, LLC Account:

I certify that:

  • I have read and reviewed the Aspiration Fund Adviser, LLC Advisory Relationship Summary.
  • I have read and reviewed, and I agree to the terms and provisions of the Aspiration Investment Advisory Client Agreement.
  • I have received the reviewed Aspiration Fund Adviser's ADV Brochure Part 2A
  • I have received Aspiration's IRA Disclosure & Custody Agreement, which applies if I open an IRA with Aspiration.
  • I have read and received Aspiration Funds’ documents including: the Aspiration Redwood Summary Prospectus, the Aspiration Redwood Prospectus, and the Aspiration Redwood Statement of Additional Information.
  • I understand that I have the option to pay a fee to Aspiration Fund Advisers, LLC in an amount of my choosing that I believe is fair. This fee is calculated on annualized basis and charged quarterly for the Advisory Account. I may increase or decrease the Fee Rate to between 0.00% and 2.00% annualized at any time upon written notice to Aspiration Fund Adviser, LLC, such notice to be provided pursuant to Section 18 of the Aspiration Investment Advisory Client Agreement. If I do so, the adjusted Fee Rate (if any) in effect at 12:00 PM Eastern Time on the last business day of the quarter is effective retroactively from the first business day of the quarter and is used to calculate the Fee for the quarter.
  • I understand that my property may be transferred to the appropriate state if no activity occurs in the account within the time period specified by law. This process is governed by the escheatment laws of your state.
  • I authorize the Fund Company and its agents to act upon instructions (by phone, in writing or other means) believed to be genuine and in accordance with procedures described in the prospectus for this account or any account into which transfers are made.
  • I agree that neither the Fund Company nor any of its agents will be liable for any loss, cost or expense for acting on such instructions. The Fund Company can redeem shares from my account(s) to reimburse for any loss due to non-payment or other indebtedness.
  • I certify that I have the authority and legal capacity to make this purchase in this account, and that I am of legal age in my state of residence.
  • I acknowledge and understand that the Aspiration Redwood Fund is distributed by Capital Investment Group, Inc., Member FINRA/SIPC, 100 E. Six Forks Road, Suite 200, Raleigh, North Carolina 27609. There is no affiliation between the Aspiration Redwood Fund, including its principals, and Capital Investment Group, Inc.
